August 6, 2006 -- Former NBA All-Star Kenny Anderson is a deadbeat dad - stiffing at least five of his seven children since exiting from the league last year, three women with whom he has kids confirm.
Although the Lithuanian team Zalgiris Kunas, where salaries run between $750,000 and $1 million, picked up the Queens native in January, Anderson has not coughed up a dime of support money to his kids since then.

His first wife and the mother of two of his four daughters, Tami Roman, is furious.

"You don't just not pay," said Roman, a struggling actress and reality-TV alumnus. "If you have $5, if you have $10, you have to take care of your children - $10 will pay for lunch."

Roman - who gained notoriety on Season 2 of MTV's "Real World" for having an abortion and getting a housemate kicked out - said Anderson hasn't paid his required $8,500 per month for his two daughters, Kenni, 10, and Lyric, 11, since May 2005. She says he owes the children about $100,000.

The girls, who do commercial acting and modeling, could be forced to drop out of their exclusive French academy next year if he doesn't pay, Roman said.

"I sold my Cartier watch so they could finish school last year," she said.

Anderson's career, which included stints with the New Jersey Nets and Boston Celtics, foundered last year when no NBA team would sign him. Roman said he spoke to her, asking her to be patient and promising to pay support when he hooked up with another team.

"He said he'd keep me in the loop, but the loop he kept me in was a lie," she charged.

Two weeks ago, Kenni found out from a summer-camp counselor that Anderson had been playing in Europe.

"She came home crying, saying, 'He's getting paid, and he hasn't done anything for us,' " Roman said.

Roman has been in Manhattan for the last two months auditioning for the hit TV series "Law & Order." She said she'll file suit for back child support when she returns to her home in California.


At about the same time Anderson tied the knot with Roman, he met Suany Castro, with whom he had a 10-year love affair that ended in 2002 - overlapping his marriages to Roman and Wife No. 2, Tamiyka Anderson.

Tamiyka Anderson divorced the athlete in 2002 and has his 5-year-old son, Kenneth Jr. He owes at least $20,000 in support to her, according to court filings.

Castro's affair with Kenny Anderson produced two sons - another Kenneth Jr., this one 8, and Devin, 5. Anderson owes $23,000 in child support, according to the athlete's own bankruptcy filings.


Tamiyka Anderson and Castro both said Anderson hasn't paid child support in some time, but unlike Roman, they've cut the fertile point guard some slack.

"He hasn't paid child support in over a year," Castro said. "I have a really good relationship with him. He supports my kids in other ways."

DJ Spinderella, a k a Deidre Roper, of the rap group Salt-N- Pepa, was receiving $7,200 a month for their daughter, Chris tenese. She refused to comment for this story.

The mother of Ander son's oldest daughter, Danielle, 14, could not be reached for comment.

Anderson earned an esti mated $60 million in his 14-year career in the NBA and spent it lavishly, accord ing to reports at the time. His star began to fade, however, and he failed to get signed in 2005. In October of that year, he filed for bankruptcy.

According to that filing, Anderson earned $3 million during his last three years and owes over a million to his creditors. He spends $41,000 on himself monthly, court papers show.

Anderson and his representatives did not respond to calls and e-mails requesting comment.
